January 9, 1925 to February 3, 2012
Sylvia passed away peacefully, as was appropriate to the way she lived her life. She was predeceased by her husband Wally and is survived by her loving daughters, Sheryl (Brian) and Denise (Kelley), and her brother Walter (Eilene) as well as four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Married in 1945, she followed her husband’s engineering career from Vancouver to Hamilton ON, back to Vancouver, Port Alice, Prince George and finally Roberts Creek. Lifelong friendships were established in all these locations. (Please note: All these places had a golf course and a bridge club!)
The many friends made along the way will always remember her for her generosity and sense of humour.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wadge and Dr. Myhill-Jones and the nursing and medical staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
Thank you to Dr. Stewart, Dr. Purvis, their team, and all the excellent support staff of Lions Gate Hospital for their professionalism and care.
