MURRAY, ALICE B. - Alice B. Murray, 84, of Golden Years Estates and formerly of Birchmount Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday February 4, 2012. Born in Onaway, Alberta, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah (Blacklock) Ray. Alice was a former employee of Alcorn Manor (Castle Manor) and was a member of The Moncton Wesleyan Church, where she served in various capacities in past years. Alice was a very kind and gentle person who enjoyed visiting and helping people in their time of need, working in her garden, and sewing. She was an active member of the Moncton Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and was recognized for her contribution to the Society. Alice will be sadly missed by her children, Katherine of Moncton; Donna Donahue (Cliff) of Massachusetts; John (Wendy) of Moncton; loyal and special friend, Candy Lutes of Moncton; grandchildren, Kristal Murray (Martin LeBlanc), Christopher and Alicia Donahue; brother, George Ray (Joan) of Barrie, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Murray (2005) and one sister, Norma.
No visitation hours by personal request. Celebration of Life Service for Alice to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:00 am, Dr. Laurel Buckingham officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
