It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Roseann Carde age 74 of River Hebert announce her passing on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in River Hebert, NS she was a daughter of the late Clarence "Cookie" and Vivian (Landry) White.
Bernice enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge # 21, Joggins.
She is survived by two daughters Debbie (Gerald) Van Snick of Amherst and Cathy Hoeg (Eddie) of Joggins, two sons Geordie of Vancouver, BC and David (Tanya) of Amherst, 8 grandchildren Scott, Monica, Cindi, Brandon, Jordan, Geof, Brooke, and Jessica, 3 great grandchildren Keegan, Cole and Keira.
Bernice is also survived by two brothers Allan (Mabel) White of River Hebert and Gornell (Faye) White of Amherst and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George, son Gary, three infant children Nancy, Charles and Bonnie, brothers Bernard, Darrell and Cecil and one sister Noma LeBlanc.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert with Father Don Boudreau officiating.
Interment will take place in the spring in the St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie, NS.
Memorial donations in Bernice's memory may be made to L.A. Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
