DeVILLER, Stanley Alexander - 89, of Melbourne, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Pinkney’s Point on September 26, 1922, he was the son of the late Willie and Lena (Deveau) DeViller. Stanley worked as a lobster fisherman, having started at the age of 13. He also enjoyed dancing. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ina Roseanne (Doucette) DeViller; children; Hector (Margaret), Melbourne; Bernadine (Dennis) Saulnier, Abram’s River; Thomas (Verna), Yarmouth; Derrick (Wendy), Pinkney’s Point; Leroy (Ida), Pinkney’s Point; Sisters; Evangeline Saulnier, Pinkney’s Point; Corinne (Vernon) Jacquard, Wedgeport; Genevieve Allen, Ontario; Addie Doucette, Pinkney’s Point; Mathilda Dugas, Church Point; brothers, Ervin (Gertrude), Pinkney’s Point; Frank (Lorraine), Yarmouth; Howard (Virginia), Wedgeport; Larry (Pauline), Little River Harbour; Ernie (Connie), Melbourne; Wallace (Florine), Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. He was predeceased by sister, Celina Frizzel; half-sisters, Jeanette Aquaro; Rita Ryan; brother, Lawrence DeViller; half-brothers, Adolphe Deveau, Albenie Deveau, Will DeViller, Edmund DeViller. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth with visitation from 2-4 and again from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, February 6 in Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was held at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, Pinkney’s Point on Tuesday, February 7 at 2 p.m. Father Wieslaw Papuga, officiated.
