MELANSON, ANITA - Anita Melanson, of Haute Aboujagane, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 18, 1935 in LeBlanc Office, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura (Belliveau) Bourque. She was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or, an avid bingo player, enjoyed gardening at home and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Henri; three daughters: Monique Gallant (Jean), Laura Melanson Legacé (Léo-Pold) and Anne Boudreau (Jean) all of Haute Aboujagane; one son: Pierre of Haute Aboujagane; two sisters: Florence LeBlanc of Cap-Pelé and Irène LeBlanc (feu Adrice) of CONN; two brothers: Laurie Bourque of Low Banks, Ontario and Emery Bourque (Amanda) of Sarnia, Ontario; six grandchildren: Joël, Jeremie, Samuel, Nicholas, Christine et Janelle; one great granddaughter: Melina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by a sister Cecile LeBlanc.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, February 13th, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré Coeur R.C. church, on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Anita, a donation to the parish cemetery would be appreciated.
