BARTON, GABRIELLE MARIE - The death of Gabrielle M. Barton, formerly of Cumberland Bay, NB occurred at Pine Grove Nursing Home on Friday, February 10, 2012. She was able to pass on with dignity due to the excellent care provided by the caring staff at Pine Grove. Gabi worked for many years as a clerk for CFB Borden. When Gabi moved to Cumberland Bay she made many friends and she liked being the driver. She was often found taking people on their errands or driving them to any activities they enjoyed. She also liked to volunteer her time at Mill Cove Nursing Home and was a long time supporter of the SPCA. She is survived by her husband, Frank; chosen nephew, Joe Kennedy and his wife, Carol and their children, Tony, Jason and Sarah as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Gabi was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her father, Mathias Villemaire (1968); mother Aline (Lalande) Villemaire (1969); sister, Theodora (2005) and her brothers, Theodore “Ted” (2001), Viateur “Vic” (2000), Ubald “Paul” (2004), Lucien “Luc” (1995) and Wilfred (2005).
