ANTHONY, FRANCES MAE - With great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Frances Mae Anthony, wife of the late Waitstill Anthony, announces her unexpected death on Friday, February 10, 2012. Frances was born and raised at Canal, NB, the daughter of the late Otis and Georgia (Hatt) Barry, then moved to Blacks Harbour, NB when she and Waitstill married and started their family, later moving to Pennfield, NB where she currently resided. She was known for her great faith and cheery outlook. Frances was a kind and gentle soul who always made time for everyone. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Frances worked for 49 years for Connors Brothers and after her retirement she spent more time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Frances is survived by her beloved son, Stephen (Brenda) of Utopia, NB, daughter in law, Darlene of Blacks Harbour, NB, grandchildren; Danielle, Ryan, Logan, Wayne (Lisa) Jordan and family, Carrie (Timmy) Bradley and family and lone surviving brother Vance Barry of British Columbia and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one brother, one sister and her dear son Leigh.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2:00 pm. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
