Jean Vaughan
VAUGHAN, JEAN ELIZABETH - Jean E. Vaughan of Saint John passed away unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 12, 2012. Born in Saint John August of 1918 to the late Patrick and Jean (Rae) McCluskey. Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club, a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #53 and #2, Glades of the Buffalo Club enjoyed Camping, Darts, Bowling and in her younger years was a fabulous speed skater. Jean is survived by her children Jean McTague (John), Melville Vaughan (Judy) both of Saint John, Douglas Vaughan (Ed) of Dartmouth, NS, Unity Moore ,Thomas Vaughan (Gail) and Allan Vaughan (Margie) all of Saint John; brother Melville McCluskey of Saint John; 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband George Ronald Vaughan in 1972; daughter Margaret Hadland in 1999; grandchildren Eddie Vaughan and Ronalda Comeau; sister Madeline O’Hara; brothers William, James and Leo McCluskey.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday February 14 and Wednesday, February 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with a Ladies Auxiliary Tribute on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
