CORMIER, MARIE - Marie Cormier, 95, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012, at The Villa Providence, Shediac, formerly of Elmwood Dr, and High Stree, Moncton. Born June 6, 1916 in Saint-Louis, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Barrieau) Guimond. She was an employee with the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital prior to her retirement. She will be sadly missed by her daughter: Jeanne (Raymond) LeBlanc of Moncton; three sons: Roger (Shanda) of Riverview, Omer (Yvette), Clarence (Jocelyne) of Moncton; one sister: Victorine Babineau of Moncton; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one daughter in law: Judy Cormier of Cambridge Narrows and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband: William ”Willie” Cormier (1993); a son: Ronald (2009); a grandson Christopher “Chris” (1984); two sisters: Julie Guimond, Olezine Babineau and two brothers: Simon and Alban.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Marie, a donation to Villa Providence, Shediac or to the Food Dépôt Alimentaire Inc. would be appreciated.
