It is with great sadness that the family of the late George F. Penney announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories son George E. Penney Jr. (Nora), Corner Brook; daughter Barbara Sears (Frederick), Sackville, NB; grandchildren: Jennifer Granter (Adrian), Halifax, NS, Georgia Penney, Vaccaville California, Barbara Penney, Corner Brook, Cassy Milner (Leon), Amherst, NS, Frederick D. Sears (Beverly), Lower Coverdale, NB; great-grandchildren: Morgan Milner, Ashton Milner, Whitney Milner, all of Amherst, NS, Elisha Sears, Dashiell Sears, both of Lower Coverdale, NB, Dylan Granter, Halifax, NS; sisters: Kathleen Wesleyson (Al), Salem, Oregon, Bonnie Hefford, Viola Thompson (Tom), Etobicoke, ON, Lillian Vincent, Brampton, ON; brother Roy Penney Ontario; ex-wife and friend Florence Penney; along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother William Penney, Corner Brook and sister Dorothy “Floss” Hart, Tecumseh, ON. Special thank you to Dr. Coleman and the nurses of the 3rd floor at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. The memorial service will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Calvin Fudge officiating.
