The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, February 10, 2012, of Peter Olive, beloved husband of Lois (nee MacNeill) of South Rustico and formerly of Ottawa, age 74.
Peter is survived by his sisters, Peggy Carriere (Johnnie), Gwen Whitaker and Maureen Branderhorst (Casey); brothers-in-law, Richard MacNeill (Sharon) and Brian Dean MacNeill (Beryl); sisters-in-law, Mary, Peggy Reveler (Dwight) and Jennie Verna Pye; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Ida Mae (Hanes) Olive; brother, John; sisters, Jane Van Dusan (Frank) and Gerry Armstrong (Art); and brothers-in-law, Herb Whitaker and Jim Latto.
A private funeral service will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, on Monday, February 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment later in New Glasgow Cemetery.
No visitation by personal request. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the P.E.I. Lung Association would be appreciated.
