Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home on Sunday, February 12, 2012 of Mary Carron McCabe, BA, MSW of Charlottetown in her 72nd year.
Mary is survived by her soul mate, Joan Conklin; sisters and brothers: Patricia MacIntyre (Peter), Roy (Linda), David "Red", Stephen (Lynn), Nora, and Linda Abbott (David). Proud Aunt of Lindsay Bromley (Darren); Carron (Omar Hashem) and Colleen McCabe; Sarah and Michelle McCabe; and Daniel, Emily and Hillary Abbott. Loving Grand aunt to Caroline and James Bromley; and Freya and Matthew Hashem. Also left to mourn Mary's passing are her special cousins from the Duffy family: Michael, Peter, Moira, Philip, and Claire Borden. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Mary McCabe, and sister Ann.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. then to St. Dunstan's Basilica for a Memorial Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
