HANLEY, JOSIE - Mrs. Josie Kathleen Hanley widow of Bill Hanley of Vince McKenzie Street, Miramichi NB passed away Saturday evening February 11, 2012 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 87. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Lynch) Goodin. She was a homemaker, member of St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, former member of Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens Club and also a former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 95. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by three daughters Judy Goguen (Roy) of Nelson, Wilma Geldart of Berry Mills, NB and Nancy Lavoie (David) of Craigville Road, one son Frank (Susan) Hanley of Newcastle, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by two sisters Mary MacDonald and Margaret O’Toole, two brothers, Byron Goodin and Joseph (Buddy) Goodin.
Mrs. Josie Kathleen Hanley is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Jim McQuade officiating. Burial will be in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Josie donations may be made to a memorial of ones choice.
