FORZLEY: Blair Owen Forzley, of Swift Current & Lake Alma Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly and tragically on February 3,2012. Blair is survived by his mother Linda Forzley, sister Adelle (Curtis) Forzley, grandma Myrna Jackson, great-grandmother Selma Dyrland, grandmother Evelyn Forzley, Aunts & Uncles - Judy (Lyle) Keturakis, Ryan (Alison) Jackson, Kent Jackson, Marvin (Laura) Forzley. He is also survived by a special family headed by Olanda and Sherry Jacobson. He is predeceased by his father Delmer Forzley, his grandfathers Cecil Jackson and Edward Forzley. Blair was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on April 24, 1986. He attended McCord School until age eight when the family moved off of the family farm to begin a new adventure in Swift Current. He was involved in many things including hockey, ball, and church events. He always had a love for cattle and horses which eventually led him to Lakeland College to study Animal Husbandry. Upon completion of his program, Blair ventured out into the world again, returning to South East Saskatchewan working and living on ranches. Blair's life was filled with friends of all ages from all over the world. He made a living with Crusader Drilling in the cold months and working as a cowboy on various farms around Saskatchewan year round. Those who knew Blair will remember him for his contagious laugh and infectious smile. He will be remembered as a very kind person who was incredibly likeable. Quite simply, if you knew him - you loved him. Blair enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing crib, ranching and being a cowboy. He was the life of the party wherever he went. Blair loved being in the country, surrounded by nothing but wide open spaces. Many will remember Blair with a cigar in hand and a smile on his face. This is exactly what he would have wanted. Blair's family and friends will celebrate his life together at St. Olaf Lutheran Church on Friday, February 10 with Pastor Pat Simonson officiating. Jess Kelly, Murray Cheesman and Lorne Belsher will share stories of his life with those in attendance. Ushers include Derek Anderson, Marvin Hankins, Bryn Tetreau, Ryan Collins, Erik Dawe and Reid Dailey. The Urn bearer is Olanda Jacobson. In Blair's memory, the family requests that donations be given in trust to the Blair Owen Forzley Memorial Trust Fund at the Innovation Credit Union in Swift Current.
