Patrick Fulton McManus

McManus, Patrick Fulton – 63, Dartmouth, N.S. and formerly of Truro, N.S. passed away peacefully with his sister, Kathleen at his side after a courageous fight with a brief illness on February 9, 2012. Born in Moncton, N.B., he was the son of the late Cyril and Veronica (Elliott) McManus. He was an honor student at the Colchester Academy and took Commerce at SMU and UPEI. He was a teller at the Bank of Commerce in Truro and Corner Brook, Nfld. He then worked as an accounting clerk for the Department of National Defense, Halifax, N.S. Patrick was a kind and gentle soul and well liked by all who knew him. He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen, Truro, N.S. and Elinor, Vancouver, B.C. He is also survived by his nephew, Ryan McNutt (Leah vanRossum), Truro, N.S. and niece, Amanda McNutt, Halifax, N.S.; aunt and several cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John and Brian. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 9 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 14 at 2 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro, Father Francesco Pirisi officiating.
