MAGUIRE, Terrance Curtis “Terry” — 80, of Garlands Crossing, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on May 8, 1931, in Shubenacadie, he was the son of the late Curtis and Hattie (Dillman) Maguire. He was employed at Nova Scotia Sand & Gravel, Shubenacadie and G. K. Keddy, a division of L.E. Shaw, for 31 years. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, the former Lottie Dearman; stepchildren, Christine (Robert) Parker, Three Mile Plains; Stephen (Marlene) Hebb, Falmouth; children, William, Graham, Ernest, Daisy, Rebecca and Judy; four step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, Lantz; Patrick, Hartland, NB; Clyde, Stewiacke; sister, Eva Collins, Mississauga, Ont. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Bethell; son, Curtis; brothers, Clarence, Bernard, and also infant twin brothers; sisters, Flossie, Jean, Daisy and Mabel. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre. A private family interment was in the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. A special thanks to the nurses and staff of Osprey 3 & 4 at the Windsor Elms Village, for the care and compassion that was given to Terry.
