Eric Nolton Jordan - 86, of Berwick, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Cape Bear, Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Vernon and Julia (Cohoon) Jordan. He retired from the Kings County School Board with the position of Heating and Electrical Supervisor. He had served with the Royal Canadian Navy on the HMCS Queen Charlotte, HMCS Cornwallis and HMSC Stadacona Protector 1. He also served in Korea in the Canadian Army. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Pauline Wheaton, Fundy Villa, Berwick; a daughter, Cheryl (David) Clarke, St. Catharines, Ontario; two sons, Stewart (Monica), Hammonds Plains; Heath, Harbourville; a sister, Lillian (Arnet) White, St. Catharines; six grandchildren, Patrick, Kathryn, Erica, Laura, Julia and Meghan. He was predeceased by a sister, Edith; two brothers, Burt and Everett. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
