The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on February 12, 2012, after a difficult couple of months, of Brenda Lina MacKenzie (nee MacEwen) of Morell in her 67th year.
Widow of the late Robert MacKenzie. Survived by her sisters and brother: Jean Anderson (Leeland), Raymond MacEwen (Ferne), Marion MacPhee (Allan), and Sheila Murphy (Emmett); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother-in-law, Alden (Red) MacKenzie (Ruth), and by sister-in-law, Lyla MacDonald (Jimmy). Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Bertha (Creamer) MacEwen; her brother, Roger; and by her sister, Judy Squires (Waldo).
Resting at Peter Gordon Memorial United Church, Morell, for visitation on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, from 5 until 8 p.m. only. Funeral service to be held at the United Church on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2 p.m.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Brenda's memory to the Peter Gordon Memorial United Church, Morell.
Interment to follow in Midgell Cemetery.
