EMERSON (nee Kirkwood) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Emerson of Kamloops, B.C., on December 30, 2006. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Beth (Chris) Metzner, son Dustan, their father Harold, sister Betty (Edward) Benoit of Winnipeg, M.B., grandchildren Joseph, Stephanie (Kenton), Matthew, and Aaron, and great grandson Korbyn. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Florence Kirkwood, brothers Robert and James Kirkwood, and sister in-law Gwen Kirkwood. Elaine was born in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan on November 17, 1929. She moved to Kamloops in 1971 where she worked for many years in the retail industry until her retirement. Elaine's favourite times were spent with her family and in her yard where she was known for her beautiful flowers. The family wishes to thank Dr. Prasad, and the staff of the I.C.U. at R.I.H., for their kindness and care of our mother. A Service celebrating Elaine's life will take place on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Westsyde Fellowship Baptist Church, 2833 Westsyde Rd., with Pastor Rob Scott officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. Memorial donations in Elaine's memory may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, 311 Columbia St., Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2T1, in lieu of flowers.
