(nee Garnier), Sept. 20, 1914 - Feb. 12, 2012. Passed away on Sunday, February 12 at the L. A. Miller Centre, Bernadette (Bernie) Delaney, at 97 years of age. Predeceased by husband Wilfred and sons: Kevin and John. Also predeceased by parents Louis and Marie Louise; sisters: Odelle, Pauline, Melinda, Theresa and Mary Elizabeth; brothers: Leo, Isadore, Kevin and Lawrence. Left to mourn their beloved mother are Genevieve (John Gale), Terry (Shirley Montague) and Patricia (Don Cameron). She was the cherished grandmother of Mark (Deanne), Anne-Marie (Jerome), Michael (Holly) and Caroline (Chris) and great-grandmother of Madeleine, Samuel and Roisin. Also left to mourn, brother Louis Garnier and sister Mary Wilson ; daughters-in-law: Vourneen Delaney and Zheng Qing Xia; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Meadow Creek Retirement Centre, her home for the past five and a half years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation with family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Wednesday, February 15th from 7-9 p.m. Family burial service to follow at a later date.
