It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of John Oliver Tweedy at Extendicare Hamilton on February 12, 2012, in his 85th year.
Predeceased by his sister Matilda (Tillie) Richards, brothers Howard and Cecil Tweedy, parents Harry and Lucelia Tweedy and his cherished daughter Susan Sheridan.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret Tweedy for 60 years. Loving father of Alison Tweedy, Anne and Tony Masek, and Mark Sheridan. Proud Papa of Stephen, Laura and Sarah Masek, Rachel Tweedy and Meg Sheridan. Loved brother of Emma Storey and brother-in-law of Mary Tweedy and George and Margaret Malcolm. Uncle John will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME “ANCASTER CHAPEL” 378 Wilson Street East 905-648-3852, on Friday, February 17 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. A committal service and interment to be in Prince Edward Island.
