MERCURE, FRANCIS - 1932 - 2012 - Francis J. Mercure, 73, of Inkerman Ferry and Moncton, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the Palliative Care Unit in Caraquet, N.B. Born in Inkerman Ferry, son of the late Edouard Mercure and the late Elizabeth (Godin) Mercure. Francis resided in Moncton from 1959- 2003, when he returned to Inkerman Ferry until his death. He is survived by his son, Jean Maurice, and was predeceased by another son Raymond, in 1999. Spouse (separated 1994) Rita Arsenault and sons from Moncton area. Mr. Mercure was in a common-law relationship with the late Sylvia Arsenault from 1997-2002. Francis is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, all from the Shippagan/Inkerman area. Francis began his career as a barber where he remained for a number of years and then became a carpenter/contractor.
Funeral to be held in Inkerman, N.B. Thursday, February 16. Interment at Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Chartersville, in the spring.
