
Mary Margaret Fulton
FULTON, MARY MARGARET ANNIE - It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Margaret Annie (Brideau) Fulton announce her peaceful passing on February 13, 2012 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Margaret was born May 29, 1929 to Fidelice (Daigle) and Joseph Robert Brideau. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh and his brothers John and George, her daughters Frances and Rita, her son-in-law David Babcock, sister-in-law Blanche and brother-in-law Swales. Margaret is survived by her remaining children: daughters and sons Theresa (George) Smith, Hugh (Sue), Hazen, John (Barb), Mary, Alice, Father David, Neil, Joanne and Thomas (Michelle). Margaret was a loving Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to grandchildren Shaun, Michael (Jen), Matthew, Stephen, Allison, John Jr., Jamie, Jacqui, Nicholas, and Katherine and Great-grandchildren Andrew, Mya and Connor. Margaret is also survived by her sister Clara (Mark) Breen, brothers Wilfred (Iris) and Billy (Shirley), sisters-in-law Mary Emmerson, Pauline, and Stella, brother-in-law Gerald, as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a very active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Glen Falls. Margaret was a member of St. Ann’s Ladies’ Society; a leader in Girl Guides and Brownies; she helped out with Cub Camps. Margaret sat on St. Ann’s Parish Council as a voted member. In the community at large Margaret was an active member of St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, Saint John Council of Women, and the Adoration Society of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. In recognition of all her good works Margaret recently received a Bishop Dollard Medal from the Diocese of Saint John. In addition to her social activities Margaret enjoyed gardening, knitting, crossword puzzles, cryptograms, travel, card games, and Daniel O’Donnell concerts and DVDs. Margaret was well received and liked by her co-residents, staff (RNs, LPNs, Kitchen and Recreation) and administration alike at Rocmaura, Thank you from the family. Special thanks go out to Muriel, Vita, Pat, Kim, Sheena and Ester from the family. Margaret was a friend to her neighbours and neighbourly to all whom she met. Memories she helped create will be cherished by all who met and knew her. She will be missed.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday and Thursday, February 15th and 16th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
