It is with great sadness that the family of Carrie Vonetta Sheppard announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the age of 74 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her six children; sons: Gary (Violet), Lawrence (Grace); daughters: Alice (Dave), Susan (Angus), Kimberly (Darren), Karen (Doug), of Corner Brook, ten grandchildren: Nancy, David, Kellie, Larry, Michelle, Robyn, Cory, Aaron, Kyle, Cody; eight great grandchildren: Dawson, Chloe, Micheal, Nicholas, Meraide, Addison, Caitlynn, Joshua; sisters-in-law: Sedella Wells, Victory Travers, Lucy Sheppard; brother-in-law Lawrence & Jean Sheppard, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Aaron I. Sheppard and her parents William & Nellie Wells brother Nick Wells, sister Alice Tapp brother-in-law William Tapp and also brother Edward & Ann Wells. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff and all the special nurses of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital and Dr. Coleman & also a very special guardian angel Mary Bennett and a best friend of 70 years Valma Coombs of Corner Brook. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 Wednesday, February 15, 2012 and 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday, February 16, 2012. Cremation to take place. The funeral will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from the All Saints Anglican Church on Clarence Street at 2pm with Rev Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital or the Palliative Care Unit.
