Passed suddenly away at the Health Sciences Complex, in the presence of her daughter Donna and husband Aubrey, on February 13, 2012, Gwen Bonnell, aged 73 years. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Lillian Edwards, and her special brother Ron. Leaving to mourn, her loving daughter and best friend Donna; her devoted husband of 52 years Aubrey; furry granddog Jack; sisters: June Allen (George), Daisy Harding, Edna Lush, and life-long friend Mary Colbourne; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Special mention to Jeff Burry. A heartfelt Thank You to the nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Complex, and to Mary Colbourne for her unconditional support to Aubrey and Donna during this difficult time. Visitation will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, February 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Gwen’s memory to the SPCA.
