It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, in her 93rd year, at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. She is sadly missed by her six daughters: Elizabeth (Jerry Young), Margaret (Aloysius Alexander), Patricia, Marion (Ray Hann), Eleanor (Peter Marche), Phyllis (Russel Doucette); five sons: Ron, Art (Brenda), Charles, Michael (Judy), Fintan (Margaret); 32 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Companion (Sam). She was predeceased by her husband Michael, three grandsons: Brian Alexander, Fintan Jr. MacDonald, Jeff Doucette, daughter-in-law, Eileen MacDonald, parents, John and Evangeline Janes, brothers, Arthur, George, Isaac, Ches, Raymond and sisters, Annie Martin and Winnifred Jesso. Visitation will take place at Campbell’s Creek Community Center on Thursday, February 16th from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, February 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a celebration of her life at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port East with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Campbell’s Creek Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Stephenville.
