Jean-Paul Gallant
GALLANT, JEAN-PAUL - Jean-Paul Gallant, 71, of Shediac, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton. Born in Shediac-Bridge on December 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Raoul and Maria (Léger) Gallant. He was a former Shediac Town Police Officer, Shediac Volunteer Fireman and retired employee with the Department of Transport. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cecile(Arsenault); two sons: Roland (Marc Stephan) of Montréal and Gilles (Diane Laplante) of Dieppe; two sisters: Rachel Bannister (Armand) of Dieppe and Marie ThérèseGautreau (Amédée) of Waltham, MA; five brothers: Maurice (Murielle) and Bernard (Evangeline) both of Dieppe, Fernand (Shirley) and Léonard (Christine) both of Shediac Bridge and Adrien (Stella) of Moncton; four grandchildren; Louis-Michel, Caroline, Josiane and Geneviève.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St Joseph R.C.
