The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, of Gladys MacNeil, of Alberton, aged 71 years. Born in Wellington, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Leona (Day) Barlow. Survived by her best friend and companion Cyril DesRoches; son Michael MacNeil, Belmont; daughter Eleanor MacNeil (Terry Larmond), Summerside; their father Al MacNeil; grandsons Cody MacNeil; Brandon MacNeil; brothers and sisters Claude Barlow; Eldon Barlow; Muriel (Roland) Millar; Robert (Anna Mae) Barlow; Shirley (Russell) Ramsay; Eleanor (Alvin) Arsenault; sister-in-law Mildred Barlow; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Lorne Barlow. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place later in Hillside Cemetery, Wellington. Visiting hours Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
