Sheila Leger

Sheila Leger

LEGER, SHEILA - Sheila Leger of Memramcook passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont university hospital center on February 14, 2012 at the age of 75. Born on September 10, 1936 in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Forris Tower and the late Etta Watt. She was co-owner of Ray Leger Enterprises. Our beloved mother loved books, trees, gardening and crosswords. Above all she loved accompanying our father in the woods or in their boat on the Petitcodiac River. For Sheila, losing her eyesight was not as devastating as losing her husband. It comforts us that she joined him on Valentine’s Day. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Leger (Skip) of Moncton and Patricia Leger of Memramcook; four sons, Michael (Myriam) of Victoria, BC, Allen (Diane) of St-Joseph, Paul of Memramcook and Jean-Marc (Stephanie) of Toronto, ON, five grandchildren: Ed, Maxine, Steven, Victoria and Luke, a great grandchild: Katherine, one sister June Tower of Lakeville, Allen (Edna) Tower of Mississauga and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond E. Leger.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Friday, February 17 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation before the funeral mass that will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook church, St-Joseph on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. We wish to thank the staff at the G. L. Dumont Hospital for all their wonderful care of our mother in her illness. Donations can be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Foundation. Arrangements are in the care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
