The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, of Ernest George Paugh of Freetown, aged 70 years. Ernest was born on Aug. 15, 1941, in Northam, to his late parents, George and Carrie (nee Ramsay) Paugh. Beloved husband of Rosella Gallant and loving father of Rhonda (Scott) LeClair of Freetown, Brad (Mary) of Searletown, Debbie (Russell) Banks of Freetown and step-father of Stephen Gallant of Edmonton, Alta., and Wanda (Gary) Richard of Mont Carmel. Also lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brother Clifford (Barb) of Richmond and sisters Enid MacDonald of Richmond, Helen (Roy) Poirier, Edna Coughlin, Jean Yeo, all of Summerside, and Jean Brissident of Ontario. Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by brothers James, Archie and Trueman, sister Margaret Waite, and brothers-in-law Allan MacDonald and John Coughlin. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Saturday, Feb. 18, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Victoria West United Church Cemetery.
