Passed peacefully away, with her family by her side, on February 16, 2012 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Mary O’Leary in 73rd year. Mary was preceded by her daughter Joanne, parents Jane and Joesph Hartery, brothers John (Loretta) and Patrick (Betty) and sister Alice O’Leary (Gordon). She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Joseph O’Leary and children: Tim (Susan), Dermot (Cynthia), Patrick (Tammy), Ian (Susan), Jennifer (Quentin). Also leaving to mourn eight grandchildren: Rebecca, Liam, Alexandria, Callum, Abagail, Izabella, Alyssa and Michael; her sister Emmie Hartery (Ernest, deceased); close family: Gerry O’Leary (Gloria), Jeffrey Myrick (Jill) and Juanita Troy (Jeff); nieces and nephews, along with special friends: Father Peter Golden, Barb Hartery and Mary Keating. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 1118 Torbay Road on Friday, February 17 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, February 18 from 10-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Also resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home Trepassey on Sunday, February 19 from 10-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Holy Redeemer Parish, Trepassey (date and time to be announced). Internment to follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Portugal Cove South. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
