At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, of Alvin S. Stetson of South Freetown, aged 91 years. Born in South Freetown Jan. 7, 1921, son of the late Willard and Eva Drummond Stetson. Husband of the late Fausta E. (Reeves) Stetson. Father of Janet (Donald) Stavert, Summerside, Brenda Cameron Waddell (Gordon), Cape Traverse, and Faron (Brenda) Stetson, South Freetown. Grandfather of Kenneth (Kim) Stavert, Kevin (Debra) Stavert, Tanya (Jamie) Toombs, Wade Stavert, Lynda (Kevin) Schurman, Kendra (Aaron) Wedge, Darwin (Tammy) Cameron, Brendon (Julia) Cameron, Aaron Cameron, Duston Cameron, Alanna Stetson and Katelyn Stetson. Great-grandfather of 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Brother of Marion Allen (late Everett) and Vernon (Hazel) Stetson. Brother-in-law of Olga Mann. Predeceased by his brother Claude in infancy and son-in-law Neil Cameron. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Funeral Monday at the Freetown United Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Freetown.
