Peacefully at Saint Vincent Hospital on Saturday February 11, 2012 at the age of 78.
Pre-deceased by his parents James and Mary (nee MacIsaac) Curry and his infant son James.
Dearly beloved husband of Ruth (nee Olsen). Loving father of Karol (Derek), Patrick (Leona), Tom and Anita and step-father to Kimberly and Douglas. Cherished grandfather of Owen, Tanya, Sheila, Gordon, Tyler, Jasmyn and Marc. Fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren Austin, Kylie and Korey. Brother of the late Earl, Thomas and Mary and survived by siblings John, Ellen (John), Russell (Anne) and Ronald. Remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Patrick enlisted in the RCAF in 1952 and served in Clinton, Trenton, Germany, France, Montreal, Torbay, Goose Bay, Halifax and Kingston in the area of electronics and communications. Patrick attained the rank of warrant officer. He was discharged in 1990. He has received the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal, the NATO Medal and the CD with bar.
Funeral Mass was held at the Annunciation of the Lord Roman Catholic Church, Ottawa on Tuesday February 14th, 2012. A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will also be held in Port Morien, Cape Breton in June 2012.
