Anne Josephine (MacDonald) Vassallo died at home on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.
Anne was born in Portage, East Bay on Aug. 18, 1922, the daughter of the late Alexander Duncan and Janie (Campbell) MacDonald.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Theresa), Sydney, Georgina (Leo) Murphy, London, Ont., Anita (Mike) Pierrynowski, Sydney, Raymond (Robin), Fort Erie, Ont., Dennis Miller, son-in-law, Oshawa, Ont., Lloyd (Denyse), Windsor, N.S., Gary (Arlene), Sharon, Paul (Wanda), all of Sydney Forks, Irene (Ken Ball), Sydney River. Anne is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, George in 1998, daughter, Karen Miller, daughters-in-law, Jeanette and Lena, and her sister, Mary Robertson.
There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. Vassallo. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Rev. Dwayne Devereaux officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, East Bay.
