Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville on February 14, 2012, Vercie Goldie Baker, age 90, from Snooks Harbour. Predeceased by her husband, William (1983), grandson, Dylan (2011), mother, Gertie and father, George, brothers, Garfield (Gert), Joshua (Flora), James and Frank, sisters, Millie (Joe) Pelley, Jessie Stanley and Elsie Ivany and brother-in-law Dave Bailey. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her sons, Melvin (Lillian) and Clayton (Florence), daughter, Glenys (Tony), grandchildren, Craig (Sonja), Stephanie (Robert), Krista (Rodney), Keith (Janis), Fallon, and Joshua, great grandchildren, Kelsy, Haley and Brooke, sister, Bessie Bailey and special brother Loyal (Frances), sister-in-laws, Susan Ingram and Bernice Ivany, brother-in-law, Merrill Stanley as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Central United Church, Elliott's Cove from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on Saturday, February 18th , 2012 with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Snooks Harbour.
