Keith Moore
Keith H. Moore, age 70, of Trafalgar, formerly of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2012 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his devoted family.
Keith was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was also a wonderful friend to many. Keith worked as a skilled carpenter with McCurdy Brothers, Eric Whebby and Jack Whebby, and in 1972 went to work as a Building Inspector with Halifax County. During his years as a building inspector, he looked forward to the days travelling to Sheet Harbour where many lifelong friendships were made. He was a lifetime member of the Mic Mac AAC. In 1997 he and his wife retired to their cottage in Trafalgar and made it their home. Besides his home on the lake, two of Keith’s favourite places to be were with his many friends at College Lake or with the “boys” at Norm and Jeff’s camp in Eastville. Keith always had time for others and will be remembered for his love of the country, hunting, and his willingness to always lend a hand.
Keith is survived by his children: Lisa Lowry (Bubba Pino) Lake Echo, Lori Moore (Vince LeBlanc) Kentville and Johnny Moore (Wendy Andrews) Stellarton; sister Laurel Manuel (Danny) Windsor; grandchildren: Amy and Adam Lowry, Dartmouth, Josh and Sarah Pino, Sydney, Shelby Maloney, Megan and Andy Fitt, Stellarton; aunt Margaret Wood, Brantford Ontario, sisters-in-law Donna (Edwin) Deyoung Eastern Passage, Bonnie Boutilier, Popes Harbour, brothers-in-Law Dennis Rodgers (Diane), Dartmouth, Dana Rodgers (Cheryl) Dartmouth, John Rodgers (Donna), Oakville, Ontario, and many nieces and nephews.
