Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, with the love and support of her loving family, of Bernice Mary Christopher, beloved wife of Danny Christopher of 38 Josie Shang Road, Nail Pond, age 73 years. Born at Nail Pond on May 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Veronica (nee Bernard) Gallant. Loving mother to Paulette (Ronnie) Gaudet of Nail Pond and Cheryl MacPhee of Moncton. Cherished Grandma to Danielle (Mike) Gaudet, Jenny (Jacob) Buote, Christopher (Chelsey) Gaudet, Julie Gaudet (Nathan), Andrew MacPhee (Brittany). Dear sister to Austin (Marcie) of Skinners Pond; Louis (Connie) of Skinners Pond; Vincent (Anna) of Blaine, Washington; Lawrence (Benilda) of Vancouver, B.C. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Freddie Doucette of Pleasant View, Neddy Christopher of Nail Pond, Jach Christopher of Toronto; Frances Keady of Boston, Mass.; Mary Christopher of Tignish; Margaret Luttrell of Roseville. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Joan Doucette, Francis Gallant and by Doris and Billy Gallant in infancy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday morning, Feb. 21, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Cremation to follow. If so desired memorials to the Western Hospital Equipment Fund or to the Alzheimer Society would be gratefully appreciated. The Tignish Council of the CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:45.
