At the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, of Jennie Hazel Wood, Carleton Lot 6, aged 77, wife of the late Ivers Wood. Jennie was born on Jan. 19, 1935, in O’Leary, daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Waite) Ellis. Cherished mother to Iris Gaudette, Summerside; Robert (Kelly), Milburn; Glen (Waynette), West Devon; Trevor (Donna), Harmony; Dale (Bonnie), Carleton Lot 6; and Jamie, Charlottetown. Loving grandmother to Jessica, Sherri, Jennifer, Hayley, Bryce, Chandler and Carson. Jennie is also survived by brother Robert Ellis, California; and sisters-in-law Dot Rodgerson, O’Leary, and Olive Grigg, Springhill.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Elwood, Freeman, Garfield, Jack, Foster and sisters Nellie and Dorothy, as well as, son-in-law Blair Gaudette. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be on Tuesday in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in West Devon United Church Cemetery. In memory of Jennie, memorials to O’Leary Community Health Foundation (Palliative Care) or West Devon United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
