Jean Lila (Milner) Legere
Legere, Jean Lila (Milner), Salmon River, Colchester County, passed away peacefully with her loving children at her side, Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born August 30, 1929, in Debert, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Cora (McRae) Milner.
She is survived by a daughter Deborah MacKenzie (Blaine McCurdy) of Manganese mines and children Daniel (Ruth) of Lower Harmony, Tim (Amanda) and children, Kayleigh and Rylee all of Belmont; step-son Jeremy of Halifax; sons, Karl of Salmon River and his daughters, Karla Spicer (Dara) and their children Jeremy, Kaitlyn, all of Lower Harmony, Veronica of the Annapolis Valley, Kathleen and Sharlene “Charlie” both at home; son Elmer (Heather) of Nuttby, son Nathan at home, daughter Laura Westlake (David) of Truro, and children Robbie, Alex; son Cecil (Barb) of Debert, and their sons Clifford of Halifax, Anthony of Ontario; sisters, Bella Milner, Truro, Diane Milner of Calgary; brother Carmen (Diane) of Debert; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Reg in 2001; sister Vera Burris; brothers Garnet, Walter, Raymond.
Visitation will be 7-9 Wednesday and funeral service 3 pm Thursday, Feb. 23rd all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River. Family Flowers only.
