And you could hear the whisper of fiddle music in the air . . . at the Moncton General Hospital on February 17, 2012, John Richard MacKinnon from St Patrick’s Road, Hunter River (the Hood) aged 57 years, passed away peacefully, wrapped in warmth and surrounded with love from his beloved wife, Sharon. John was predeceased by his parents Phoebe and Reginald MacKinnon and brother Jimmy. He leaves behind to carry on his spirit, wife Sharon Mullally MacKinnon, stepson Cody MacDougall, brothers and sisters Andrew (Jan) Thorndale, Ont.; Robert (Ann DeRoche), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Eleanor (John), California; Neil (Sharon), Dartmouth, N.S.; Mary, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; his Mullally in-laws, mother-in-law Aletha Mullally (John Huggins), St. Patrick’s, P.E.I.; Pam Mullally (Ian Gauthier), Hope River, P.E.I., Barb Mullally, Mayfield, P.E.I.; Brent Mullally (Belinda), Mayfield, P.E.I.; and
Tanya Mullally (Scott Ryan), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; very special friend Catherine Gillis from
Mass., U.S.A., and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home in Charlottetown Funeral service will be held at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment at the Burnside Cemetery, Clyde River, at a later date. By request of the family, expressions of sympathy should be made in lieu of flowers by donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the P.E.I. Humane Society. Online condolences
