McARDLE, GEORGE G. - 1932 - 2012 - George Gordon McArdle, of Moncton, passed away with family by his side at The Moncton Hospital on February 20th, 2012. Born on November 16th, 1932, he was the son of James A. and Bridget (Whelen) McArdle. George graduated from Moncton High School and was a long-standing employee (39 years) of NBTel. George was a past member of the Moncton Lions Club as well as the NBTel Pioneers. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elsie (Soucoup) and children James (Graciel) and their children Meaghan and Robert; Michael and Mary Jane (Janie) all of Moncton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by brothers Jim and Harold and sister Theresa.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating George’s life will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, February 24th, at 2:00 pm, Father Bernard Sloan presiding. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations in George’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
