Passed away early in the morning, Sunday, February 19th, 2012, surrounded by his family. Geoff was well known throughout the arts community for his onstage work in such productions as My Fair Lady (where he met his future wife Phyllis), Brigadoon, South Pacific and many others, but he was better known as a broadcaster with the CBC. For many years he was the voice of the news and a host of many different shows, both on radio and television. A memorial service is being planned for July in Newfoundland. The family will provide details at a later date.
