HEWITT, Derek Alan (Foster) - was born on July 26th, 1956 in Montreal, Quebec and passed away suddenly on January 24th, 2012 in Cochrane, Alberta at the age of 55 years. Foster will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Nancy, his son; Zac (Stephanie), his daughters; Chelsey (Ron) and Ryley (Michael), his grandchildren; Taylor, Kaiden, Jordyn and Mason, his mother; Joan (Mac) of Nova Scotia, his sister; Natalie (Mike) of Calgary, Alberta along with numerous extended family members and friends. Foster was preceded in death by his sister, Kim. Foster lived his life for his family, his dog (Nigel) and his grandkids. His smile lit up the room when he walked in and his laugh was contagious. Foster enjoyed the outdoors and he loved fishing, hunting, quading, riding Harley’s and most of all, taking his dog Nigel for walks. Foster had a heart of gold and touched many lives. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Foster’s Funeral Service was held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. A Celebration of Foster’s Life followed at the Army, Navy & Air Force Hall.
