Shelley Diane Patterson, age 52, passed away on February 21, 2012 after a short bout with cancer. Shelley is predeceased by her son Andrew and her parents, Paddy and Shirley Patterson. Shelley is survived by her son Patrick of London, England; sister Brenda (Arnold) of Medicine Hat, and brother Ron of Moose Jaw. She also leaves to mourn nephews Devin (Kali) and Ethan and nieces Amanda (Tim) and Teresa and numerous cousins. Shelley attended King George Elementary School and Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw. She excelled in piano and later worked at St. Anthony’s Home in Moose Jaw as a nurse’s aide. Her skill with numbers led her to a highly successful career as an accountant for SaskEnergy. Following her retirement, Shelley pursued her life-long dream of observing orcas on the West Coast of Canada. A Memorial Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Skip Phillips will officiate. A private family interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the World Wildlife Fund. In living memory of Shelley, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
