Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, March 3, 2012, Charles Oliver of Burnt Point, age 92 years. Predeceased by wife: Rebecca; son-in-law: John Tucker; grandson: Glenn Kennell; brothers: Jesse and Jake; sister: Mary. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Rita (Allan) Kennell, Topsail Pond, Bertha Tucker, Paradise (friend Cliff) and Doreen Oliver (Randy), Coley’s Point; one son: David (Sadie), Burnt Point; nine grandchildren: Derrick (Michelle), Greg (Nikki), Lori (Brad), Charlene, Crystal (Derrick), Jason (Danielle), Melanie (Sheldon) and Ashley (James); six great-grandchildren: Justin, Logan, Destiny, Dawson, Emily and Jack; one brother: Allen George (Winnie), Burnt Point; sister-in-law: Mildred Tucker, Ruby Manor, Mount Pearl; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. from the Gospel Hall, Burnt Point. Interment in the Gospel Hall Cemetery, Burnt Point.
