Carmen M. Davis, age 92, of Springhill, passed away peacefully at the Highcrest Nursing Home on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Daniel and Rose (Smith) Davis.
Carmen was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion. He owned and operated his own construction company in Hamilton, Ontario for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his sons David, Springhill and Steven (Julia), Hamilton, ON; daughter Cheryl Campbell, Hamilton, ON; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Jane P. Reid; daughter Linda; brothers Daniel, Douglas, Ronald, Raymond, Floyd and Ralph.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). There will be no visiting or funeral at this time. A graveside service will take place in the Rodney Cemetery in the spring, Rev. Wayne McCarther officiating.
