Linda (Patterson) Rivers
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda on Saturday, March 3, 2012 with family by her side. Linda was born in Moose Jaw and was the youngest daughter of ten children. Her passions included loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and aunt. She had a love for sport and enjoyed volunteering her time and watching the sports her children and grandchildren played. She was also an avid Rider fan and provided a loving home to a number of adopted pets. Linda could be found cooking wonderful meals in her kitchen and enjoyed sharing them with her family and friends. Her love of cooking continued into her work which included Modern Café, 15 Wing, and most recently Humpty’s Restaurant. Linda was predeceased by parents Harold (1972), Reta (1992), daughter Heather (1973), grandson Owen (2004), brother Goldie (1961), Rodney (1979), half-brother Johnny (1975) and sister Joan (1963). She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Al of 25 years; her four sons Al (Cara), children Payton, Rian; Jason (Mona), son Kaleb; Cory (Nadine), daughters Emma and Madison; Garth; step-children Maryanne (Rod), children Terry, Levi, Crissy; Cindy (Lyle), sons Delbert, Logan; Philip and daughter Sidney. She is survived by siblings Gary, Murray, Brent, Lyle, Bernice, and Wendy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank the staff at ICU at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for their compassionate care of Linda. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at W. J. Jones and Son Chapel on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 at 1:30p.m. Della Ferguson will officiate. For those wishing memorial donations can be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society.
