HORAN, CAMILLA - Camilla Horan, 82, formerly of Ste Anne Street, Shediac, passed away on Sunday, March 4th 2012, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a resident of the Villa Providence for the last 4 years. Born on August 1, 1930 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Ovila and Arzelie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She was employed with Leger Pharmacy prior to her retirement. She is survived by one son, Robert of Dartmouth, NS; one daughter, Elaine Windsor of Richmond Hill, ON; one sister, Juliette Godbout of Shediac; three step-sisters: Sr. Alphonsine LeBlanc, ndsc and Sr. Marie Thérèse LeBlanc, ndsc, both of Moncton and Rita Maillet of Bathurst; two step-brothers: Aimé (Pauline) of Grand Falls, and Noël (Eola) of Shediac; four grandchildren: Mathew, Patrick, Kody and Corry, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald (2010); and several siblings: Emile, Joseph, Léo, Phyllis, Thérèse, Léona, Jean, Albanie, Gérard, and Olive. Camilla was a fun loving happy person, who rarely had a bad day or who was not seen enjoying life to the fullest. She was always very active in the community. She loved the beach and especially the sun, getting her fill of vitamin D as often as possible. She was an avid bowler for many years and won many trophies, she played darts and cards with family and friends, and was known for her sometimes unintentional sense of humour and funny one-liners. She loved a good glass of wine, and enjoyed travelling and camping. She was a lifetime believer in the benefits of daily exercise, and in her later years as her mobility decreased, she continued to walk every day until her health restricted her mobility.
Camilla’s remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac, N.B., E4P 2G1 (532-3297) from where a gathering celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
