David Allan MacDonald, 54, of 211 Cottage Rd., formerly of Hardwood Hill, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 5, 2012, with his son and best friend at his side.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (MacLellan) MacDonald.
He worked for many years as a truck driver and was presently employed with C.B. Beverages Ltd.
Sam’s passion was cars and his grandkids.
He is survived by his two daughters, Dara, Sydney, Mandi (Billy), Edmonton; son, David, Sydney; by his two grandchildren, Brady and Desiree; sisters, Linda (Chris) Kieley, Sydney, Sherry MacDonald, Sydney, Margo (Carmen) Giacamantonio, Halifax, Debbie (Dougie) Fewer, Sydney, Faye (Sonny), Sydney, Elaine (Deacon) Delaney, Sydney, Marilyn (Gary) Aucoin, Sydney; brother, Piper (Cathy), Sydney; and also by many extended family and friends.
Visitation for Mr. MacDonald will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, Sydney.
