AMHERST The death of Inez Dumelie, age 94, of Amherst occurred following a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday, March 11, 2012
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Burke) Arsenault
Inez was a hairdresser and Cosmetologist, she operated the Arcade School of Beauty Culture in Springhill and the Americana House of Beauty. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church
Inez will be sadly missed by her husband Gerard Dumelie, daughter-in-law, Jeanette Teed; grandchildren,Tammy & Lisa (Rob) Beckwith and great grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley; sister, Lillian (Gerry) Cormier and brother Gerald (Cora) Arsenault. She was predeceased by a son, Roy.
Inez's remains have been cremated under the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (667-8777). A memorial mass will be celebrated from the Holy Family Parish Church, Amherst on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2 pm. Burial in the St. Vincent / Holy Rosary Parish Cemetery in Sackville, NB at a later date. There will be no visitation.
